HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - It was a story of neglect and a death with dozens of llamas found dead and dozens more found barely hanging on.

The llamas that were lucky enough to make it off that Huntington County farm are on the mend.

26 of the 41 severely emaciated llamas were accepted by the Southeast Llamas Rescue.

The Southeast Llama Rescue says the llamas they received were among the worst they'd ever seen.

The remaining 15 were rescued by two different Huntington County residents.
