HUNTERTOWN, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Huntertown City Council has given reports on the current water and sewer rates during a evening meeting on Monday, October 1, 2012.

Council members said the water rates are good and most likely will not have to be raised to build the water treatment plant. The plant is expected to be completed by 2015. The sewage fund is running short and rates could be raised within the next 90 days. All residents pay a flat rate each month.

Council discussed going on a metered rate which allows residents to only pay for what they use. City Council will meet again in two weeks to discuss further details.
