Jon Colbert, A Hero Among Us

One out of six men will have prostate cancer in his lifetime. Although this type of cancer can be treated successfully, it can be overlooked. Screening tests can find the disease early, sometimes before symptoms develop, when treatments are most effective. When it is found early, there is nearly a 100 percent chance for cure. Jon's mission is to make all men aware of this type of cancer and realize the importance of getting a simple blood test to check their prostate-specific antigen (PSA) yearly.
