FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Music is booming at Fort Wayne hot spots Saturday as one non-profit builds community through hip hop.

HipHop4theCity is a local movement born and bred from Fort Wayne enthusiasts who simply want to say how much they love their city. A Better Fort, a not-for profit organization, is promoting the Summit City by shooting a music video using fresh, creative talent and the help of multi-platinum rap artist, Mike Jones.

For the past two months, they’ve been shooting a music video for their original song “My City.” Last weekend the crew filmed at classic Fort Wayne locations like The Famous Coney Island, the Wells Street Bridge, and the Rialto Theater. Despite the frigid winter weather, filming continued this weekend at Parkview Field.

The track is a collaboration of 19 local hip-hop artists. The 2010 World Champion youth choir, Voices of Unity, will also be featured in the last chorus of the song.
