Head-On Crash At Bass And Beineke Roads

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A car crash injured one and sent another to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

Police say a vehicle was heading west on Bass Road near Beineke around 7:15 am. When it crossed the center line into the oncoming traffic lane and hit an east bound car nearly head on.

The driver of the first car was trapped in the wreckage for about 25-minutes and had to be extracted by emergency responders from the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department.

The driver of the second vehicle was slightly hurt.

Bass Road was closed for about 45-minutes during the morning commute.
