ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Paul Harding High School students will get their "first choice" when it comes to which high school they'll be attending next year.

Last Tuesday was the deadline for students to turn in forms listing their school preferences once Harding is converted to a college and career academy next fall.

An astounding 85%of students returned the forms on time - 526 students total.

183 students chose New Haven HS, 129 chose Heritage HS, 109 chose Woodlan HS, and 105 chose Leo HS.

Students who did not return their request forms will be assigned to a school.

Administrators hope to send letters home to parents informing them of the changes this week.
