ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Local pastors in the East Allen County School district will hold an information meeting to fight to keep Harding High School as it is.

A parents' rally was held Sunday where parents said they wanted to hear how students feel about the district's plans for bussing them to other high schools.

The school is on its 5th year of academic probation and faces a state takeover.

But some residents think there are other options to explore.

Concerned Parent Condra Ridley says, “We want people to be better informed about what their real choices are. We want them to recognize their power in the equation in terms of what is going to happen in relation to these students. Of course we do not think any of the school choices are good choices.”

The parents are pushing for a new curriculum, administration, and school culture.

Monday night's meeting is at 6 o'clock at Turner Chapel AME Church.
