Grissom Air Reserve Base Civilian Employees Handed Furlough Notices

LOGANSPORT, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- More than 470 civilian employees at the Grissom Air Reserve Base have been handed furlough notices.

Those employees will take 11 unpaid days starting Monday through Sept. 30th.

$30 billion have been trimmed from the armed forces annual budget for the year. The department of defense estimates the furlough at Grissom alone will costs workers $1.5 million in salary.
