FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The woman who was beaten by her boyfriend with a baseball bat has died from her injuries.

The Allen County Coroner’s Officer confirmed after Sunday’s autopsy that 42-year-old Susan Lombardi of Fort Wayne died from blunt force trauma to the head on Saturday. Lombardi’s death marks Allen County’s 7th of the year.

Currently 39-year-old Anthony Ochs is charged with aggravated battery and domestic battery.

Officers went to Ochs' home at 6323 High Point Run on the city's north side.

Paramedics found a woman there unresponsive and unconscious, and rushed her to the hospital in critical condition.

Detectives questioned Ochs for several hours, and then arrested him later in the morning.
