FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The Fort Wayne Police Department have four in custody after a string of robberies and a blockade on Franklin Avenue Saturday morning.

It started as an armed robbery at the BP gas station, 909 E. Coliseum Blvd. early Saturday morning. The four people robbed the station of cosh and cigarettes and fled in a white car.

Soon after Fort Wayne Police Department responded, approxiamately 4:27 a.m. Saturday, they located the white get-away car in the area of 4700 Northcrest Drive occupied by three of the suspects. Those three were detained and have since been transported to the Allen County Jail on associated robbery charges. Police did find a firearm at that scene.

The three nabbed from the get-away car were --

Arrested: Charles D. St. Clair, age 18, Fort Wayne
Charges: Robbery, B-Felony

Arrested: Mayson L. St. Clair, age 19, Fort Wayne
Charges: Robbery, B-Felony

Arrested: Elissa J. May, age 20, Fort Wayne
Charges: Robbery, B-Felony

But there was still a fourth suspect on the loose. Fort Wayne police learned during the overnight investigation that fourth suspect, Joshua C. Jackson, had separated himself from group and fled to a home in the 1500 block of Franklin Avenue.

Officers blocked all traffic between Fourth Street and Franklin Avenue while trying to make contact with Jackson inside a house at 1515 Franklin Ave. Police finally reached him on the phone but say Jackson was evasive, uncooperative, and hung up.

Police believe that the St. Clair subjects were in charge of the early morning robbery, with Jackson acting as a ‘look-out’, and with May operating the ‘get-away’ vehicle. Police also believe that Jackson is connected to several recent robberies that are still under investigation.

While Jackson resufed to leave the Frankline Ave. home, police brought in an armored tank and also a robot to try and reach him. The called with a bullhorn for a "Joshua" to come out and sent a robot around to the back of the house.

After three hours of negotiating, police deployed a flash bang and Jackson surrender. Police say no one else was in the apartment when Jackson surrendered.

Here are Jackson's charges --

Arrested: Joshua C. Jackson, age 26, Fort Wayne
Charges: Robbery, B-Felony

This investigation is ongoing with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
