FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Powerball is kicking off its new format with a big promotion.

The Hoosier Lottery will give away free tickets for Wednesday night's drawing at several stores statewide, including two in Fort Wayne, beginning at 6 AM.

The first 300 customers at “Jerry's Burger Dairy" on lower Huntington Road and at "Grand Food Junction" on Coliseum Boulevard can get the free tickets.

Powerball is now offering bigger jackpots and better odds of winning, but charging higher prices at 2-dollars a ticket.
