Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Area cyclists still have an opportunity to participate in the inaugural Fort4Fitnes Spring Cycle taking place Saturday, May 26th.
More than 600 cyclists have already pre-registered for the different cycling events taking place Saturday morning. But organizers say those still wishing to participate can still register Saturday morning prior to the Tour and Bike the Fort event.
The Tour features events of three distances (20 miles, 35 miles and 45 miles), all starting at 10 a.m. The tour starts at Headwaters Park and rides through Fort Wayne and out into the countryside. The Bike the Fort event begins at 11:00 a.m.
Following the Tour and Bike the Fort in the morning and early afternoon, a twilight criterium racing event for licensed cyclists will be held downtown.
Participants should plan to be lined up at the starting line no less than 15 minutes prior to the start of their event and must have a helmet.
Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes in a patriotic theme in honor of Memorial Day weekend.
