FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Flags waved high at Blackhawk Middle School Friday as students reflected on the events of 9/11.

They also honored the men and women who keep our country safe in a post 9/11 world.

Special guests and speakers included veterans and current members of the armed forces, firefighters, law enforcement officers, homeland security representatives, and Fort Wayne city officials.

After the remembrance assembly, students and guests headed outside for a Patriotic Party.
