FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- It's the first day of school for students in the state's largest school district.

The first day of school falls during an interesting time for Fort Wayne Community Schools this year. The school board just rejected former state school superintendent, Tony Bennett's A through F school rating system and major construction projects are underway in a number of schools within the district.

As all major area school districts are now back in session, please remember to be careful while driving in school zones and never pass a school bus when the Stop Sign arm is down.
