BUTLER, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - An early morning fire forced Butler officials to shut down some roadways for a couple hours.

The fire started around 1 AM outside DeKalb Molded Plastics. Officials say strong winds hampered efforts to extinguish the flames, but the fire was fully brought under control after 6:30 AM.

The plant didn’t sustain any major damages since the fire was outside. No word yet of what may have caused it.

There were no major injuries reported, though one firefighter was treated for a minor injury.

Police say a section of U.S. 6 in Butler was closed while crews worked the fire.
