FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- As of Thursday morning, CNN was tracking which members of Congress were still collecting their paychecks and which were not accepting or donating their pay in solidarity.

Here is the link to the list as provided by CNN.

Impact On Northeast Indiana

What does the federal government shutdown mean for you?

We don't have many national parks, museums or monuments here, but there are other ways you could feel the shutdown pinch.

Most veterans services will continue, meaning you can still see your doctor, get prescriptions and visit VA hospitals and clinics.

Applications for disability will be delayed, though.

As for current military members, we are told 216 members of the 122nd Air National Guard base are furloughed, meaning 104 people will remain on active duty there, and will continue to be paid.

Furloughed service members can apply for financial assistance through programs in the Guard.

We asked people in downtown Fort Wayne what they think of the shutdown.

“My sister was talking about it to me yesterday, and she feels the same way that it's really crazy. It's like, I don't know what people are going to do!” says Erin Lawson.

“I really don't feel that the government should shut down, the agencies, because we, as a society, government, we should have options, availability to access any and every option possible,” Gordon Knight, Sr. adds.

The federal courthouse is open for business, as of right now, and programs like WIC, Housing and Urban Development and the Federal Housing Authority could still be affected here.

A lot of it depends how long the shutdown lasts.

But late this afternoon, we were notified that the Maumee River Basin Commission meeting set for Thursday at the USDA building in Fort Wayne has to be moved to the DeKalb County annex building because the agriculture facility would be closed.
