FWA Sees Increased Traffic Over Summertime (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- More people are flying in and out of Fort Wayne International airport.

The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority reports arrivals and departures have gone up 5.7 percent from July 2013, at Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA).

The reports states boardings alone went up 5.6 percent, and daytime departures peaked at 21.

Overall, passenger traffic is up 8.5 percent compared to 2013.

FWA now offers non-stop flights to ten major cities including: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Minneapolis, Orlando/Sanford, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fort Myers/Punta Gorda, Phoenix/Mesa, and Myrtle Beach.
