NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) --
It's been a week since the body of 36-year-old Erin Justin was pulled from Bartley Lake near Albion in Noble County.

On Wednesday night, friends and former co-workers held a memorial service, praying that justice be served.

"We want justice and we want her to be at rest," said Michael Bryant, a close friend of Justin.

"Hurtful, sad, very emotional. Wondering why it happened like that," questioned Co-Worker Olivia Chavers.

Chavers said she met Justin nine years ago at the Bleu Diamond.

Meanwhile, Justin worked as a stripper in Fort Wayne. But her co-workers say don't judge for that. They she was a happy soul, the life of the party, and a kid at heart.

"It's definitely devastating nothing like that should have ever happened to her. But justice won't be down here, it will be up above," said Margo Eicher, a former co-worker.

"I'm still numb. I still feel like somebody kicked me in the stomach and I can't breathe. I just can't believe that I'll never see my Erin again," said Bryant.

The memorial service was informal yet emotional. Friends took turns remember the good times. After speaking, one by one they each silently turned towards the water, tossing flowers in a lake.

"The Sheriff's Department should take just as much interest in trying to find out what happened to her, just as they would somebody that was wealth," added Friend Mark Smith.

"It should not be swept under the rug. I think she was very beautiful and a very loving woman. May she rest in peace," concluded Friend Robert Tindall.

Police have not made any arrests.

Sources told Indiana's NewsCenter Justin's feet appeared to be tied to cinder blocks, so her body would not float to the surface of Bartley Lake.

Meanwhile, a close friend said Justin used to clean a house on Bartley Lake.

Right now, police are calling Justin's death a "criminal investigation".
