New Video: Police Say Walgreens Employees 'Man-Handled' In Armed Robbery (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Fort Wayne police are investigating an armed robbery at the Walgreens on the corner of Dupont and Coldwater roads.

Police released surveillance video Thursday that shows the two suspects running from the store. According to police the employees were "man handled" and pushed to the floor before being forced to open the cash drawer.

Police say the suspects took the entire drawer and fled. They are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the two suspects. If you have any information please contact police.

According to police, a Walgreen's clerk was working in the Christmas isle when two people pointed a gun at her and told her to get down on the floor around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The man grabbed her and threw her to the floor.

Another employee told police that the suspects originally told them to get on the floor, but changed their minds and demanded they get the cash drawer. One of the suspects kept saying "shoot'em...just shoot 'em" according to the employee.

Neither of the employees required medical assistance.

Police are searching for a man that is 5'9" tall and a younger possible female (gender was unclear). The man was wearing grey sweat pants, tennis shoes, gloves and cloth mask. The other suspect was wearing a trench coat and gloves.
