FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Fort Wayne Police had a short standoff Thursday morning in the 400 block of Perry Street.

Around 12:15 a.m., dispatchers received a 911 call and during the call they heard someone mention a weapon. When officers arrived there were several people outside the residence. As officers approached, the people went inside and refused to answer the door or come out.

Fort Wayne Police Emergency Services Team and the Crisis Intervention Team were called to the residence. After several minutes, the occupants inside the house came out. The officers were advised that there may have been underage drinking involved. Police did not find any weapons inside the home.

The incident is under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
