FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Those using the meter parking downtown will want to bring along extra change.

The rates for the parking meters is increasing from 25-cents an hour to 50-cents an hour.

The fines have increased as well if the meter runs out as well. City officials approved the increases a few weeks ago. Parking meters will be re-programmed this weekend for the changes.
