Man Arrested In Downtown Fort Wayne Beating (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Police have arrested a man, Dennis Tyson Jr., 29, of Fort Wayne, after he allegedly beat a man in downtown Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a battery in the 100 block of West Wayne Street shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers found a male victim lying in the middle of the street, bleeding and unresponsive.

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in serious condition. His condition was downgraded to critical condition by a physician at the hospital.

Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and a potential suspect.

The incident remains under investigation by the police department and the Allen County Prosecution Attorney’s Office.
