FORT WAYNE, Ind.(21Alive) -- In the month of December, there have been an unusually high number of robberies.
In the past two days alone, there have been two armed robberies.
As police investigate, they are noticing similarities in the crimes, leading them to believe the same two people are involved.
Robberies this week are happening during all hours, one late at night and one early morning. The suspects are described as black males, one in their twenties and the other maybe late twenties to early thirties.
They wear black nylon face masks to hide their identity, carry handguns and tie up their victims with zip-ties once they get the cash. Because the men are armed, police want victims to follow this advice.
“If you are a victim, give the individuals what they want. Both have been armed, you're at a disadvantage. There's nothing too important to try to play superman and quite potentially lose your life and someone elses life if not your well being,” Fort Wayne Police Officer Mike Joyner said.
If you see people sitting outside a building who are not normally there, get a description of the car and license plate and report it to police.
