NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - 28 year old Kira Krantz of Kendallville has been in three hospitals since the early Saturday morning wreck.

Noble County police say after receiving a call, officers found Krantz's car on Canal Road near County Road 175 East around 2:30 A.M., but nobody was around.

Then later Saturday morning, police were called to a Rome City home where they found Krantz and another man, 28 year old Michael Slone. There investigators also got the whole story.

They say Slone was driving Krantz's car and Krantz was the passenger when he drove off Canal Road and struck an embankment and a tree. Injured, Slone fled the scene without reporting the crash.

Krantz was first hospitalized at Noble County Parkview, then taken to Parkview North before ending up at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She is said to have a broken neck and a paralyzed left arm.

Slone received bumps and bruises in the crash. He was also cited for leaving the scene of a crash
