FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Allen County will settle a lawsuit filed by an abortion clinic over a county ordinance the plaintiff's claimed violated doctor-patient privacy laws.

Abortion provider Dr. George Klopfer, who operates Fort Wayne Women’s Health Clinic, brought the suit claiming the law requires private patient information be shared with county officials.

County Commissioner Nelson Peters says the settlement keeps all the key provisions of the law in place, but drops the ability of county officials to view patient information.

The settlement also calls for the county to pay $30,000 toward plaintiff's legal fees.
