FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- A record number of cyclists are peddling across the state for the 11th Annual Cops Cycling for Survivors Ride.
51 men and women are riding to help raise awareness and money for the families of fallen officers.
Monday morning, they gathered next to the Indiana Statehouse, at the Law Enforcement-Firefighters Memorial.
They are riding in memory of people like Indianapolis Officer David Moore, who was gunned down in the line of duty.
"This is just one of those efforts that's so important because these fellas go across the state reminding people of the sacrifices they met and keeping our promise to never forget," Moore's father, Spencer Moore, said Monday.
The bike tour is set to make a stop in Bluffton Tuesday and in Fort Wayne on Wednesday.
