FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Road traffic is still constricted on Clinton Street over the Saint Mary's River.

Construction continues on the bridge project and officials say many safety features are being used during the construction.

The River Greenway is also blocked off while work is being done and even the Saint Mary’s River has constricted traffic.

Fort Wayne City Engineer David Ross says, “Since this is rather unique to us, being a bridge project over a waterway, we have got warning devices, channel markers for boaters using the St. Mary's River.”

The buoys warn boaters and other watercrafts of the construction project ahead.

The whole project should be finished by the end of next year.
