INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee was arrested early Wednesday morning on a public intoxication charge after he had taken a dip in the canal near downtown Indianapolis.
According to police, McAfee was found soaked and shirtless around 5 A.M.
Police say McAfee wasn't sure if he had been in the canal and that "it was raining." According to INC Meteorologist Chris Daniels, skies were clear and it was in the low 40s at the time of arrest.
McAfee's BAC was 0.15 at the time of arrest.
Colts president Bill Polian issued this statement: "We are in the process of gathering the relevant facts. When the task is complete, we will deal immediately with the issue of the club discipline. Until we complete that process, we will have no further comment."
