FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Thousands of Fort Wayne residents start their day on a colorful note.

The single largest paint race series in the world, The Color Run, made its debut in Fort Wayne Saturday morning.

It’s a 5-k run where at each kilometer, runners are doused from head to toe in different colors with no winners or official times, the color run celebrates healthiness and happiness.

“We like to give people reasons to be healthy, and we support wellness a lot and it's a good reason for people to come out and get in shape,” said Color Run Director Jess Nelson.

The Color Run is hitting 160 cities throughout the U.S. this summer. It will return to Indiana on Oct. 5 in South Bend.
