FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - 29-year-old Nyelah Hayes, who police say sparked a struggle on a Citilink bus earlier this month has pleaded not guilty and was appointed a public defender.

She'll be back in court May 2nd.

Hayes is charged with criminal recklessness after police say she pulled a steak knife on another rider when he made a rude comment to her on the bus.

The two fought, and Hayes was cut on the hand.

She was taken off the bus at Spy Run and Lawton Place and arrested.
