FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Two of the people charged in a horrific case of animal abuse.

Taylor Tally reaffirmed her not guilty plea on a felony count of neglect of a dependent and is set to stand trial in August.

She and Santino and Antonio Morales are charged with neglecting Chico the Chihuahua, who had to be nursed back to health at Animal Care and Control.

Police say cocaine, pot, drug paraphernalia and a stolen gun were found in their Ralph Avenue home in February.

A two-year-old girl was also inside the home.

It's not clear why Antonio Morales was in court.
