FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Dates are now set for the appeal hearings of three Fort Wayne charter schools that lost their charters in January.

According to our partner in news, The Journal Gazette, Imagine MASTer Academy, Imagine Schools on Broadway, and the Timothy L. Johnson Academy, are scheduled to appear before Ball State University officials in April to appeal the university's decision to pull their charters.

Each school will have two hours to present arguments, witnesses, and documents before a three person panel on Ball State’s campus in Muncie.

In January, Ball State announced it would not renew the charters, which expire June 30. University officials cite poor academic performance and insufficient improvement as reasons for the decision.

Imagine MASTer Academy will have their hearing April 4, with Imagine Schools on Broadway on April 16. The Timothy L. Johnson Academy will appeal on April 18.
