INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Secretary of State Charlie White is trying to hold on to his job as he appears before the state's recount commission.

The commission is under a judge's order to decide whether the Republican voted illegally in the may primary while registered at his ex-wife's address and could remove him from office.

But White may not answer many questions, since a judge ruled Monday that White would not be granted immunity.

That means anything he says now can be used against him in his August 8th criminal trial, where he's facing felony charges, including voter fraud.

The recount commission is expected to issue its decision June 30th about whether White was eligible to hold office.
