Cat Hoarders Plead Not Guilty At Their Initial Court Appearances

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – On Monday morning, 45-year-old Jeffrey Tourney and 50-year-old Constance Anderson pleaded not guilty at their initial appearances for two counts of criminal mischief, and five counts of animal cruelty.

Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control removed 98 cats from a home they rented on Elmer Avenue.

When authorities went to the couple's other rental home, they found 23 cats alive and 21 others that were dead.

The couple is hiring their own attorneys and is scheduled to be back in court July 2.
