ORLANDO (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Testimony resumed Thursday in the trial of 25-year-old Casey Anthony, the Florida mother charged with murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
Thursday's proceedings will open with Tony Lazzaro, Anthony’s ex-boyfriend, still under cross examination by the defense.
Attorneys for the prosecution and defense painted vastly different portrayals Wednesday of how Casey Anthony was acting during the time her daughter, Caylee, was believed to have gone missing.
The state called several witnesses Wednesday, including three of Lazzaro's former roommates, to offer examples of Anthony partying, going to nightclubs and shopping during the timeframe in question.
The defense highlighted examples of how Anthony was a devoted mother to her child and never abused her.
Anthony is charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee almost three years ago.
Caylee disappeared in June of 2008, but wasn't reported missing for a month.
Her skeletal remains were found about 6-months later, and the cause of death is not known.
Prosecutors claim she died of asphyxiation after being duct taped.
Anthony’s lawyer claimed during opening statements Tuesday that little Caylee drowned in the family's swimming pool and that Caylee’s grandpa helped cover it up.
