Car Struck On Train Tracks

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind (www.incnow.tv) Driver, Jason Freeman stated that he swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle traveled off road and was lodged on railroad tracks on US 6 near the Dekalb County Humane Shelter.

The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department says that Freeman attempted to dislodge the vehicle from the railroad tracks but was unable to. Minutes later the vehicle was struck by an eastbound train.

According to the Dekalb County Sheriffs Department, the passenger of the vehicle, Jessica Corbin was struck by debris in the crash and suffered injuries to her right arm and leg.

Jessica Corbin was taken to Dekalb Health for treatment. No one has stated her condition. The driver stated, he was not injured.
