STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) - Interstate 69 shut down for the second straight night after a car ran into a semi truck in Steuben County, injuring the driver.

An Angola woman is injured after crashing into a semi and getting stuck underneath it.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says around 6 p.m. Sunday, Marcus Dunlop of Zionsville, Ind. was driving a semi-truck and merging from the berm into the southbound driving lane near mile marker 346.

Deputies say Christy Keaton of Angola was also driving southbound and for an unknown reason, rear-ended the semi.

Keaton’s vehicle was lodged underneath the trailer for 52 minutes before she was freed and flown to a local hospital in critical condition. Dunlop did not sustain injuries.

Both lanes of I-69 shutdown for a time, but have since re-opened.
