FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Alina BigJohny, a native of Fort Wayne that was killed by a stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair over the weekend will have her funeral held Friday morning at the Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home on Winchester Road.

Visitation will be there Thursday from 2- 9 PM.

Friends and family of Alina BigJohny hosted a Candlelight Walk Sunday night in memory of the Fort Wayne native.

What seemed like nearly 50 friends and family gathered in the main parking lot at Wayne High School. People were holding signs, flowers, and candles. A prayer was given and candles were lit before everyone walked toward BigJohny's mother's house on Hemphill drive. Five minutes into the walk, rain began to fall from the sky, everyone got soaked, but everyone kept on. During the walk all that could be heard were sniffles and an occasional cry out. All that could be seen were heads down, and people covering and re-lighting their candles that burnt out from the wind and rain. About five minutes later they arrived at the home. Slowly, everyone took turns placing candles, pictures, flowers, and a sign in the front yard. Another prayer was given as people continued to weep. There were lots of hugging and comforting, and people took cell phone pictures of the vigil - one last memory of Alina. People walked in and out of the house all looking forlorn, and there was no sign of the mother. All the while it continued to rain. Slowly the crowd grew smaller around 7:45 as people wandered away to make the trek back to Wayne High School.

Alina BigJohny, 23, was one of the five people who were killed by the stage that collapsed at the Sugarland concert at the Indiana State Fair Saturday night in Indianapolis. BigJohny graduated from Wayne High School in 2007. She graduated from Manchester College this past spring. BigJohny was living in Indianapolis and had a job as a teacher's aide in an area school. Alina just turned 23 August 4.
