FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- The three front-running republican candidates for Fort Wayne Mayor on Wednesday revealed how much money they've raised and spent trying to secure the party nomination in May.

The deadline for filing campaign finance reports for 2010 was noon Wednesday.

City Councilwoman Liz Brown popped into the Allen County Election Board headquarters in the morning to file her required paperwork.

Brown reports raising nearly $25,000, and having just under $23,000 left to spend.

Businessman Eric Doden shows he raised $109,000 and has $101,000 still on hand.

Former Allen County Councilwoman Paula Hughes raised $147,000 and still has $86,000 in the bank.

She claims she’s getting support the right way.

Paula Hughes/(R) Fort Wayne Mayoral Candidate: " Over 240 donors and of those donors, 97% of them are from Fort Wayne and Allen County. There's a strong grass roots support for my campaign, and it just feels like a great day to me."

Eric Doden/(R) Fort Wayne Mayoral Candidate: " I think our goal has been to raise between $300,000 and $500,000 in the primary season. It's been our consistent goal and we feel like that we have a good start to that, but it's just a start."

Brown trails in the fund-raising sweepstakes.

She explains that off, saying she didn't announce her run for mayor until December.

She claims she's received additional contributions in 2011, and that it's ultimately not about who raises the most money, but who wins on May 3rd.

One other note, political unknown Fred Osheskie filed his candidacy for mayor in the GOP primary.

Brown, Hughes and Doden will file their candidate paperwork sometime before a deadline in mid-February.

Incumbent Democrat Mayor Tom Henry has not announced his future plans yet.

It's expected he will do so sometime after his "State of the City" address, scheduled for January 26th.
