INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (21Alive) -- A bumper sticker is the center of controversy in a lawsuit filed by the ACLU against the Indianapolis Police Department.
The bumper sticker in question is one that reads "Unmarked Police Car" that wound up getting an Indianapolis woman pulled over by an IMPD officer. After reviewing her license and registration, the officer made her remove the bumper sticker from her vehicle because the officer believed people would think she was impersonating a police officer.
The ACLU argues that the woman's first and fourth amendment rights were violated during the traffic stop.
