ROANOKE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A heart-warming presence of community and leadership has constructed a "Book Pass" of nearly 100 people from the old Roanoke Public Library to the new location on 314 N. Main St. Saturday morning.
Kari Huston of PNC bank, a devoted partner and donator to the Roanoke Public Library, says one of the librarians had reached out to the community, asking for any help to move the books from the old location to the new building. She not only received help, but nearly a hundred volunteers showed up to lend a hand.
"For how cold the weather is outside, there are a lot of people," Huston says. "It's really a great turn out and shows just how devoted these people are toward helping their community."
The "Book Pass" lasts until noon. Volunteers have been helping since 10 a.m.
