FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – In the coming years, the land around Dupont and Diebold Roads will look completely different.

Beginning in October, Diebold Partners, a local investment group, will begin construction on a new commercial plaza along Dupont Road.

Officials say they will start the demolition process in a few months, removing brush, moving in dirt, and creating detention ponds. They will also build nine out-lots and eventually hope to build a big box store, but the city has to improve Diebold Road before all of these plans to go through.

"Diebold Road simply has to be improved all the way over to North Clinton, they know that, it's on the drawing board. We simply can't go any further with our development with a major tenant until that is done,” said Don Steininger, Managing Partner at Diebold Partners, LLC.

The entire project should be completed within the next four years. They hope to have a restaurant, pharmacy, and bank, along with several other businesses, up and running by that time.
