INDIANA (21ALIVE) --- Fan interest will be sky-high Sunday night when Peyton Manning makes his return to Lucas Oil Stadium to play the Colts.

But the hysteria also puts people at risk of becoming victims of fraud.

You can bet there will be a bunch of Manning supporters wearing Denver Broncos orange at kick-off.

Some stores in Fort Wayne are making money off Manning merchandise sales, while ticket buyers have to beware of losing money to scams.

Andrew Luck is the unquestioned leader of the present day Colts.

But it's Peyton Manning who won a Super Bowl and earned legend status as the team's star quarterback for 14 golden years.

Sunday, Manning comes home, leading the 6-0 Broncos against his old team.

He figures to get a standing ovation from the Colts home crowd.

At Champs Sports at Glenbrook Mall around noon Thursday, store clerks told us sales of Manning jerseys were steady, outpacing sales of Luck jerseys displayed alongside.

" We only got two Broncos jerseys left. We got a lot of Luck jerseys. A lot of people buy the t-shirts too, they must love Peyton Manning," said clerk Nick West.

The Colts-Broncos game is the hottest ticket in the area.

Some of them are going for a small fortune.

On stubhub.com, more than 2,000 tickets were listed.

The highest price we found, nearly $13,000.

The Better Business Bureau of Northeast Indiana warns buyers to thoroughly check out business reviews for sellers peddling game tickets through eBay, on line auctions, and Craigslist.

And if somebody is pushing tickets to this game for $100.00 or less, it's “buyer beware”.

" The real tickets are not going to go for $100.00 or $200.00. And it would be a sad shame if people went up to the gate and found out their ticket was no good," said Marjorie Stephens, the BBB’s Director of Operations.

Indiana state government is rolling out the red carpet for Peyton Manning.

Governor Mike Pence has declared Sunday "Welcome back #18 day".

It’s sure to be exciting, especially if the Colts win.
