OAKWOOD, Ohio (21Alive) - The Paulding County, Ohio, Sheriff's Department says it has solved a three-decade-old cold case with the arrest of a Defiance man.
Steven Noffsinger, 58, was arrested Friday for the 1981 beating death of Alma Noffsinger in her Oakwood, Ohio, home.
Steven was Alma's ex-husband, according to The Paulding Progress.
A Pauding County grand jury indicted Steven Noffsinger on felony aggravated murder with specification.
Alma Noffsinger, 29, was found dead inside her home on North Fifth Street on Dec. 17, 1981.
She died of injuries to her head, and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the Ohio Attorney General's Office.
TNT was set to televise a special about the cold case on Aug. 8.
