Armed Robbers Grab Candy & Chips And Run

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Fort Wayne police are investigating an armed robbery at the Marathon Gas Station on Fairfield Ave.

It happened just after 11 p.m. Sunday. According to police, two masked men walked into the gas station, pointed a gun at the clerk, who was behind a bulletproof glass panel, and demanded money. Police say the clerk got behind the counter and called 911. The two robbers took candy and possibly a couple bags of potato chips and ran.

The men were described as thin and wearing all black. One was wearing a black mask and the other was wearing a blue mask. They left on foot in a northwest direction across the parking lot.

Police continue to investigate the robbery and anyone with information about this incident are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers.
