VAN WERT COUNTY, Ohio - After Friday's storm it could take almost a month to get power back to everyone in Van Wert County, Ohio. 75 power poles were still down Tuesday in Van Wert County and a third of customers are still in the dark.

"We're tough, we don't know, we take it day by day, minute by minute," said Taunya Breece, resident without power.

Taunya's family is told it will be another 21 days before their lights will be back on, but they lost more than just power. Their barn collapsed, half their garage was torn apart and the chimney was ripped off the house. As they deal with the damage Taunya says she is thankful her family of 6 is all ok.

"That's what keeps us going. It's just what keeps us going everyday is that they're safe, my boys were home alone," said Breece.

Tuesday their insurance adjuster was at the home. Taunya hopes they can soon be in a cooler environment at a hotel, but until then...

"Just suck it up, keep going, and hope that things work out," said Breece.

At Taunya's home the power lines were ripped off the house. The crews repairing the lines are starting with the lines that impact the most customers which means fixing the line to their home will be last on the list.
