INTERNET (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Social media users across the world will be watching Facebook Friday night after a message claiming to be the online group "Anonymous" said they would attack the social media king at midnight.

But a number of sources have said, although the message was similar to one "Anonymous" may have used, it doesn't appear to be from the group.

The group has also said it's not them, but Facebook is still expected to be on high alert.

A local social media expert told us that it's a good idea to find trusted tech sources to research threats, but he says Facebook "users" don't need to do anything differently.

The group "Anonymous" has already attacked a number of high security sites, including government websites.
