FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Amid allegations, Fort Wayne Community Schools Board Member Kevin Brown showed Indiana's NewsCenter proof of his Master's Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

"It really hurt. In a sense of, I earned that degree," Fort Wayne Community Schools Board Member Kevin Brown.

"Then for somebody to discount because of a mix-up which I expressed to them, that was a mix-up somewhere in records. That was disturbing," said Brown.

Brown's degree was earned in 1989, when Indiana Wesleyan University was known as Marion College.

Another mix-up, Brown's degree called for 30 credit hours.

The same degree is now 36 credit hours.

The letter was signed by University Registrar Kimberly Nicholson.

It was dated October 7, 2010.

Brown's education credentials were questioned after his September DUI arrest in New Haven, Indiana.

Brown is up for reelection on Tuesday, November 2.

He is the incumbent in District 4.

He is running against Douglas Guerin, Jordan Lebamoff, Antoine Taylor, and Joseph Sablic.
