PIERCETON, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Police arrested an armed robbery suspect within 12 minutes after a Pierceton liquor store was held-up.
Pierceton Police Department, along with other local, county and state officers converged at the Pierceton Discount Package Liquor, Wednesday a little before noon after a receiving a 911 called of an alleged armed robbery.
Officers were provided information that the suspect may have fled to a residence on the west side of Pierceton banishing a knife. Officers from Pierceton, Warsaw, Winona Lake, Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department surrounded the location in the 100 block of South Seventh St. and located Jonathen Raven Lovelace, 20, Warsaw, hiding in a bedroom closet.
A subsequent search of the residence provided officers with additional evidence linking Lovelace to the armed robbery which apparently occurred at knifepoint.
Lovelace was arrested on a preliminary charge of felony robbery with a knife and is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a prosecutorial hold without bond. The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office is also assisting with the ongoing investigation and arrest.
