LaGrange Co. Alert: Wanted Man Captured (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Steven Gail Gose was taken into custody Monday by the Rome City Police Department and the Noble County Sheriffs Department.

He will be held at the LaGrange County Jail on multiple outstanding warrants.


The woman who went missing Wednesday night has been found alive. She was found in Rome City.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department is continuing their search for the man they think may have abducted the woman. They are looking for Steven Gose, 43. They believe Gose may have cut his hair to alter his appearance.

A judge in LaGrange County issued an additional warrant for Seven Gose for criminal confinement, domestic battery and strangulation.

Thursday, the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department had been attempting to locate a woman that they believed may have been abducted Wednesday

According to officials, Jennifer Lee Bitzel, 28, of Peru was last seen at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night at a residence in the 3000 block of CR 600 East in LaGrange County.

It is alleged that at this residence Bitzel was the victim of an extensive battery, forcefully removed from the residence by a male subject who threatened her life before forcing her into a silver 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix four door with tinted windows and sunroof, bearing the registration 543AIB.

Bitzel's two young children were left behind at the residence. Bitzel has been known to recently stay at local low cost motels in northern Indiana.
